Piclist

Piclist is an online marketplace and a sharing community for cameras, lenses, and all types of media production equipment in Colombia. This was a personal venture I co-founded. My role as a UX designer included user research, brand design, product design and prototyping. In partnership ith a software developer, we launched an MVP to market.

Overview

As a professional working in the media industry in Colombia, I saw the need for an online tool where media producers could rent or buy video/photography equipment (such as cameras, lenses, microphones and more) from local owners and stores. After doing surveys and interviews with colleagues in the industry, I found out that finding suitable gear involved a long process of online searching and contacting several rental houses or colleagues. I partnered with a software developer to build an online marketplace where gear owners could post their equipment for rent or sale, and could be contacted by possible clients looking to rent it or buy it.
